Messiah Fellowship has been in existence, at its current location, for four years so we are a fairy young congregation in that way but our friendships and our dedication to each other are strong. We recognize we all have the same Father so we are a family and we come together with that in mind.
We are a body of people from various church backgrounds. Because of that, we are somewhat eclectic. One definition of the word “eclectic” is, “deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.” We all claim to live by the words in the Bible, but the fact is, we all come together bringing “baggage” from our past religious experiences and that can be challenging but, despite the differences we may have in style or taste or even in doctrine, we all agree to respect one another and that’s how our congregation works so well. We all remember, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” I Corinthians 13:12
We encourage taking a humble approach to our faith walk, knowing each of us has some truth to share with the body but none of us have it all figured out. It helps to bounce ideas off each other so we can have a better understand of our Father’s word. “Iron Sharpens Iron.” (Proverbs 27:17) Our commonality is that we all have been called out of the world, out of mainstream religion, to a Torah/whole Bible lifestyle, the lifestyle Yeshua lived. It’s different than where we’ve all come from so everyone of us is trying to figure out what our Father desires for us, as individuals and as a community. We know that, ultimately, we will all come to the same understanding, in our Father’s time, so we try to be patient with one another.
That being said, all of us at Messiah Fellowship are in perfect agree that God’s word, including all ten of His commandments, is to be obeyed and that’s what binds us together as brothers and sisters. We may have different backgrounds but we are headed in the same direction, headed together to our Father’s Kingdom, ruled by our King, Yeshua, who will reign according to our Father’s foolproof rules and by His ideal and excellent laws!
As the scripture tells us, “Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our LORD and of His Messiah; and He will reign forever and ever.”Revelation 11:15 “He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.” I Chronicles 22:10 “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” Psalm 45:6,7 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days (The Father) and was led into His presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. Daniel 7:13-14 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.” Daniel 2:44 “…and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father–to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:6
